Hurtwood House, founded in 1970, is one of the most prestigious private sixth-form colleges in UK. It currently has around 80 teachers and 330 students, among which around 35 students are from China (including Taiwan and Hong Kong). Hurtwood House’s ethos is ‘Creativity, Originality and Professionalism’
The school is a center of excellence for the Performing and Creative Arts, providing outstanding opportunities for the aspiring actor, singer, artist, fashion designer, composer and film maker both in the A-level courses and, more importantly, in specially arranged and professionally organized activities. These include our Film Academy, our concerts and our drama productions. The main house of the school is an Edwardian mansion set in 200 acres in the Surrey Hills, close to Guildford town and Dorking town. It is 45-minutes drive from two main airports in UK Heathrow and Gatwick.
